The ASHRAE East India Chapter was formed on 15th January, 2020. The first Board of Governors with Mr. Manoj Chakravorti as Chapter President was installed by Dr. Ahmed Alaa, DRC RAL. A team from ASHRAE IEM Student Branch, East India Chapter won the GOLD AWARD at the RAL Student Competiton in SY 22-23. The Chapter also hosted the RAL SR2 Planning Meeting in July 2023 with senior RAL officials and representation from 10 Chapter in India, 1 from Sri Lanka and 1 from Bangladesh. The Chapter has met the Full Circle criteria in RP Contributions in most of the years since inception. The Chapter Flagship Program – “RAC Summit” – initiated in SY 23-24 is planned as an annual event going forward.
